Frequently Asked Questions
The standard XR Ripper uses conventional ripping teeth. The Dual Direction Teeth version uses upgraded teeth that cut on both the forward and reverse passes, more material broken up per pass without extra effort. For high-volume ripping work, the dual direction teeth pay for themselves quickly.
More rippers cover a wider pattern and break more ground per pass, but require more machine power. Fewer rippers concentrate force for harder or rockier ground. Start with 5-7 for most applications; use 9-10 on softer ground where you want maximum coverage.
The XR Ripper is available in 76-inch and 84-inch frame widths.
No. The XR Ripper is a mechanical attachment using your machine's lift and tilt only. No hydraulic motor required.
